Sundays @ the PARK

As promised! Here's a post about the

Children's Park of General Santos City...

This is the new one by the way, for as far as i can remember, the old location of Children's Park is now being used by the BANGKO SENTRAL ng PILIPINAS...

The new one is now at OVAL PLAZA, just beside the stage...

We usually go there every sunday afternoon, usually after attending mass at OUR LADY OF PEACE AND GOOD VOYAGE PARISH...

The fact, that we now have a little sister who is by the way our GATE PASS for the said PARK...

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you plan of going to the park, you should have at least one toddler, tagging along. Besides, its a CHILDREN's PARK afterall and not your usual DATING PLACE...

Now back to the PARK...

The place may not be huge, but children go GA-GA over the slides, see-saws and swings, so i guess its quiet enough for your little kids to enjoy the place...

ATTENTION: CAR OWNERS - on the use of AIRCONs

This is specially relevant for our aircon cars here in the Philippines, where we always keep all the windows closed and the temperature goes up to more than 100o F.

Please note and circulate...

- Do not turn on A/C immediately as soon as you enter the car!

- Please open the windows after you enter your car and do not turn ON the air-conditioning immediately.

- According to a research done. The car dashboard, sofa, air freshener emits Benzene, a Cancer causing toxin (carcinogen- take note of the heated plastic Smell in your car). In addition to causing cancer, it poisons your bones, causes anemia, and reduces white blood cells. Prolonged exposure will cause Leukemia, increasing the risk of cancer. May also cause miscarriage.
 
- Acceptable Benzene level indoors is 50 mg per sq. ft. A car parked indoors with the windows closed will contain 400-800 mg of Benzene.

If parked outdoors under the sun at a temperature above 60 degrees F, the Benzene level goes up to 2000-4000 mg, 40 times the acceptable level... & the people inside the car will inevitably inhale an excess amount of the toxins.

- It is recommended that you open the windows and door to give time for the interior to air out before you enter.

- Benzene is a toxin that affects your kidney and liver, and is very difficult for your body to expel this toxic stuff.

LAST MINUTE SUMMER BONANZA

School bell is about to RING...

Days to go and SUMMER is over...

Before it ends, here's a rundown of simple summer activities you can have with your love ones..

Summer time, is usually  hot (minus the CLIMATE CHANGE).. a good time to go to the beaches and enjoy the sun (before 9am) and the water...

to those of you who wish to enjoy a pool with exciting slides, you may check out Del Rio Splash Resort.. It may be small compared to the Swimming Resorts in Laguna BUT you can enjoy the fresh water and its slides, by just taking a bus if your taking off from General Santos City... A less than hour ride from GenSan is not bad if you wanted to take a dip and slide for you life at del rio..

but if travelling is too tiresome for you, GENERAL SANTOS CITY do have a lot of beach resorts to choose from...

My family's favorite is Rajah Beach Resort. It may not be well developed, but we love the serenity of the place.. Plus, they still have those trees on the seashore that you can put a hammock and enjoy a nap while being blown by a sweet summer breeze...

There are also Motor-boats that may take you boating on a fair fare price... just make sure to wear proper sunblock..

but then again... if you are on a tight budget... you may still enjoy summer buy staying home!

all you need is a TUB or if you have an inflattable mini-pool, fill it with water and... its up to you how you wanted you day to be... you may turn your speaker ON and play reggae music to have a HAWAIIN vibe... prepare delicious a sumptous feast or just dial up and have some food delivered... 

Note: You may also recycle the water you used for the TUB or mini-pool. Use it for watering your plants.

Not a big fan of WATER?... 

you can engage yourself to a SPORTS hobby... you can go to a nearest TENNIS Court/Club and start sweating it up!

General Santos City do have alot of TENNIS Enthusiasts and we have a TENNIS COURT right at the heart of the City.. near the City Library...

Summer or not, you may unwind and enjoy what our City has to offer...

Growing...

This is Hayley...

She just turned 2 last April..

so that makes her 2 and almost a month years old as of this writing...

I am Dimple, i am 24 years old, turning 25 next year of January...

With that age difference, people always mistake HAYLEY as my baby...

Well, in a way she is. for she calls me "MAMI", actually,

she calls all (that makes three of us) her ates mami...

WE do act like her mother most of the time.. she even sleep with us..

we usually are the ones who wake up in the middle in the night everytime she needs another bottle of milk or during her tantrums...

It's like an ON-THE-JOB training to motherhood... exhausting.. yes... but we just can't get pissed with her.. she is too lovable for that...

Now, we are so proud everytime she learn something new.. NEW WORD...NEW DANCE STEPS... NEW SONG... NEW "KABUANG"...

But am afraid that our little angel is growing up so fast...

This 3 year and 5 months affair is kind of monotonous...

when will we be tired of this kind of set-up? NEVER... 

we will complain about the same old things over and over again...

i will always cry, walk-out, nag, etc... but at the end of the day, LOVE and FORGIVENESS will always rule..  forgiveness is better than revenge after all.

TRUST is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is broken, it is the end of the relationship. of trust leads to suspicion, suspicion generates anger, anger causes enmity and enmity may result in separation.

Let me share a story that i read somewhere...

A female telephone operator received a phone call one day.

She answered, "Public Utilities Board."

There was silence. She repeated, "PUB."

There was still no answer.

When she was going to cut off the line, she heard a lady's voice, "Oh, so this is PUB.Sorry, I got the number from my husband's pocket but I do not know whose number it is."

Without mutual trust, just imagine what will happen to the couple if the telephone operator answered with just "hello" instead of "PUB"..

Another essential thing for a lasting relationship is the RIGHT SPEECH..

There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that

"A speech will either prosper or ruin a nation."

Many relationships break off because of wrong speech.. When a couple is too close with each other,we always forget mutual respect and courtesy. We may say anything without considering if it would hurt the other party.

A lady and her millionaire husband visited their construction site.

A worker who wore a helmet saw her and shouted,"Hi, Emily! Remember me? We used to date in the secondary school."

On the way home, her millionaire husband teased her, "Luckily you married me.Otherwise you will be the wife of a construction worker."

She answered ,"You should appreciate that you married me. Otherwise, he will be the millionaire and not you."

Frequently exchanging these remarks plants the seed for a bad relationship.

It's like a broken egg - cannot be reversed..
